DC Ang inspects developmental works, Convenes Block Diwas at Dooru, holds interaction with locals

Anantnag: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla Wednesday inspected various developmental works in the Doora Shahabad sub division, here.
The DC was accompanied by SDM Dooru, CPO, Ex Engineer R&B Qazigund, CMO and CEO among others.
Inspecting the ongoing work on Hostel block at Govt Polytechnic Larkipora, the DC stressed for ensuring timely completion of under execution projects. He passed directions to prepare the DPR for complete walling of the institution. The 63 bedded hostel is being constructed by JKPCC for a total cost of Rs 5 crores.
DC interacted with school going children at the spot. He assured the children that a playground will be developed in the vicinity. He also visited the ongoing Children’s park at Dooru and was assured that the project, which includes an open air gym, will be opened for the public in the next month.
Dr Singla also inspected the ongoing work on NTPHC Fatehpora, Mini Secretariat at Dooru and Girls Hostel at Dooru.
He also inspected SDM office, Tehsil office and Dooru Treasury.
Later, the DC held block diwas at Dooru and on the occasion several delegations met Dr Singla at SDM Office. He interacted with members of the civil society and gave their demands a patient hearing. He also directed employees to be punctual and render hassle free service to the public and ensure early redressal of grievances.
The DCalso inspected Zamalgam Bridge. Completed over the last two years, the bridge has been completed by R&B deptt at a total cost of Rs 3.2 crores and will connect Banagund with Zamalgam.
Dr Singla appreciated the deptt for completing the bridge. He said that connectivity projects not only reduce travel time but also boost the economy of hitherto poorly connected areas
