DC Anantnagconstitutes task force to expedite sanction of PMEGP cases

Anantnag: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla constituted a task force comprising Asst Commissioner Revenue, concerned BDO and Lead District Manager Anantnag to expedite the sanction and consequent disbursal of loans to PMEGP cases being sponsored by various departments.
The order comes in wake of several complaints being received by the District Administration regarding delay in sanctioning of loans for demand of collaterals and guarantors, even though such formalities are not required in PMEGP cases.
The committee has been directed to make surprise visits to various bank branches and ascertain if any cases are being held up for want of guarantors or collateral. The committee shall also submit a report in this regard.
Prior to this, last week the Deputy Commissioner had also interacted directly with various aspiring loanees to analyze the large gap in sponsored and sanctioned cases and had directed the bank authorities to take immediate remedial measures.
