Taking review regarding implementation of employment generation schemes, the DC issued strict directions and set deadlines for the Rural Development Department, Employment Department, Sponsoring Agencies and Banks to ensure early start of self-employment units of 5 identified youth in each Panchayat besides covering maximum youth under various other self employment schemes as per the directions of Lieutenant Governor.
Meanwhile, the OSD also spoke in detail about the procedure for availing the benefits under the schemes as well as how Mission Youth aims to be a one-stop solution for fulfillment of aspirations of youth in J&K.
He urged all the concerned line departments to put in sincere efforts to facilitate the youth in availing benefits under the Mission Youth. He stated that it is the need of the hour that youth energy is channelized and directed for socio-economic development of the district.
