Jammu: Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Nazim Zai Khan, along with Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), Ashok Pandita and other officers, Saturday visited Mini Township Jagti, Nagrota.
Secretary took stock of issues and concerns of the inmates of the township like enhancement of cash assistance upto Rs. 25000 per family, repair and renovation of quarters, allotment of shops, establishment of vocational training centres for migrant youth, public transport facility, lack of infrastructure in Sub District Hospital at Jagti, construction of road towards cremation ground, Centrally Sponsored Schemes for Kashmiri Migrants and Soft Loan facilities to over aged Kashmiri Migrant Youth.
Secretary assured the migrants that all their genuine demands will be looked into for an early redressal.
He inspected repair work on TRTs and directed to extend it to all the genuine quarters.
He enquired the Superintendent of Sub District Hospital, Mini Township Jagti, about the medical facilities being provided to the patients there.
Later, Secretary also visited and inspected the newly built shopping complex there comprising 49 shops and directed the concerned to allot these shops to genuine migrants living in the township.
