DC Reasi convenes meeting to review disposal of grievances lodged on JKIGRAMS

Stress laid on quality, timely disposal of online, offline complaints

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi, Charandeep Singh Saturday convened a meeting of officers to take stock of current status and position of public grievances that have been received by online grievance redressal portal.
On the occasion, threadbare discussion was held on the subject and it was informed that a total of 701 online grievances pertaining to different departments were registered on JKIGRAMS among which 679 grievances have been addressed well within the stipulated time period while as the remaining are in process.
After taking a detailed review, the DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure timely and prompt redressal of all the grievances lodged on the online portal. He asked the officers to check the grievance desk daily before leaving office.
He also instructed the departments to nominate a nodal official in the office to deal with such grievances after equipping him/her with the technical skills and know-how of operating the portal for speedy disposal of grievances and also collecting relevant data pertaining to the complaint.
The DC further said that performance appraisal of the officers shall be made on the basis of their swiftness in disposing complaints. He also said that district administration is working with utmost zeal, responsiveness, vibrancy, and dedication towards addressing the issues of people in hassle free manner for which all officers have to make more efforts.
Further, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure all the registered grievances reach their logical conclusion within the fixed time frame. He also extended his appreciation to all those officers who successfully disposed of all their grievances within a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, a live training session on operation of portal- “Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani” and “EMPOWERMENT New Portal of J&K/BEAMS” was also held in which officers of different department were made aware about the usage and operation of these portals recently launched by the government.
The DC instructed all officers to further educate people so that they get information after accessing these sites while sitting at home.
ADDC Jyoti Salathia; ADC Abdul Satar; CPO Sunita Kanchan; ACD Dr Anirudh Rai, district heads of the departments, district and sectoral officers among others attended the meeting.
