Kathua : A batch of sixteen youth hailing from different parts of Kathua district were Friday provided Commercial Vehicles under flagship Customized Livelihood Scheme MUMKIN of Mission Youth programme.
The formal handing over ceremony was held at District Employment & Counseling Centre Kathua where DDC Member Keerian Gandyal, Dr Shweta gave away keys to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Member Dr Shweta said the initiative of MUMKIN scheme provides a great opportunity to unemployed youth of the district to become self-reliant. She appealed to the beneficiaries to work with dedication and zeal to get success in their respective endeavours.
While highlighting the youth centric initiatives of the government, Dr Shweta said MUMKIN Scheme is one of the initiatives of the J&K government under Mission Youth launched with the aim to motivate unemployed youth of J&K and create self employment opportunities for them.
Assistant Director, Employment & Counseling Centre, Naresh Kumar informed that under the MUMKIN scheme, a total 78 mini commercial vehicles have been handed over to the beneficiaries in the district.
Representatives of TATA, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland Company besides beneficiaries of MUMKIN scheme were also present on the occasion.
