DC Udhampur discusses implementation of Mission youth initiatives

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib Wednesday discussed implementation of Mission Youth initiatives at a meeting of District Level Task Force (DLTF) Committee held here in Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
During the meeting, Officer on Special Duty to Mission Youth, Gourav Gupta gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on the objectives of the Mission Youth. He added that the Mission Youth is an Apex body of the government outreach programmes for engagement of youths in J&K.
He sensitized the officers present about the wide range of initiatives under the Mission Youth including promotion of self employment through schemes like Mumkin, Tejaswani, Tourist Village Network, Skill Development, SAHAYTA, AVSAR, PARVAAZ , promotion of Youth Clubs, Holding Talent Hunts and Mega Sports events etc.
The DC took an extensive review of the progress under various schemes of Mission Youth and gave directions for fast-tracking the process of grant of benefits under the same.
