Rajouri : Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the performance of the Agriculture Department under the centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes, here in a meeting of the concerned officers.
Among the others, Chief Agriculture Officer, Som Singh; District Information Officer, Narinder Kumar; Agriculture Extension Officers besides officials of the Agriculture Department, attended the meeting.
A discussion on various schemes including District Capex Budget, PM KISAN, Kisan credit card, soil health card, farm mechanisation programme etc was held in the meeting. Removal of Bottlenecks for successful implementation of farmer welfare schemes were also discussed in depth in the meeting.
While reviewing the progress made under different heads, the ADDC asked to expedite utilization of funds under CAPEX Budget 2021-22 to ensure maximum achievement at the earliest. He asked officers to ensure strict adherence to quality parameters and codal formalities as per DPRs while executing the infrastructure development works.
Discussing the progress under PM KISAN, the meeting was apprised that there are 78191 Farm Operating Families in the district and equal number of farmers/families are benefitted under PM KISAN.
The ADDC impressed upon the concerned officers to identify the eligible beneficiaries so that no deserving is left out. He also directed to get the Bank accounts of the beneficiaries linked with Adhar to avoid duplicity.
While reviewing the status of the progress on Kisan Credit card, it was informed that 97 percent farmers of the district have been covered under Kisan Credit card scheme. He directed the concerned to expedite the progress and ensure that all the beneficiaries are covered under KCC.
Regarding the Soil Health Card scheme, he advised the officers to motivate the farmers to get their soil tested as it help them improve the health of different crops grown by them.
ADDC asked the officers to generate massive awareness among the farmers about the welfare schemes being implemented by the Agriculture Department in the district through IEC activities and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same.
He directed the concerned agricultural officials to stay in touch with the PRIs and ensure the quality disposal of the public grievances.
He also emphasized upon the concerned officers to conduct field visits to get proper feedback from farmers at ground level. He also directed to work with utmost zeal and enthusiasm so that the benefits of various welfare programmes reach to the beneficiaries in a viable manner.
The ADDC stressed upon the officers to rejuvenate their efforts for achievement of optimum results on the ground so that the benefits of development percolate to the masses at gross root level.
He also asked the officers to disseminate necessary information among the public about the newly launched Aap ki Zameen Aap ki Nigrani land Information system and motivate them to use the application to access their land records online.
