DDC Chairperson Doda chairs General body meeting, discusses developmental scenario

Doda : District Development Council Chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal Monday chaired the general body meeting of the District Development Council and the key officials of the line departments to discuss the developmental scenario and progress of ongoing works in the district.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to the progress of the works approved under District Capex, PRI grants, B2V-3. He reviewed the tendering process and also discussed the issues with regard to projects of PMGSY, PWD, PDD, PHE, land compensation, shortage of staff and other bottlenecks.
The DDC chairman directed the concerned line departments to expedite the tendering process and execution of all allotted works on ground to ensure optimal use of funds by the end of the financial year.
With regard to PMGSY, the DDC Chairman directed the concerned to resolve the issues raised by the members of the council with regard to the ongoing works in their respective constituencies, besides, he asked them to maintain the quality of work.
The DDC Chairman also directed the REW to ensure that all the works approved under PRI grants are tendered, allotted to achieve desired development in a time bound manner.
The DDC Chairperson also asked the ADDC Doda to form a block level Committee of the elected representatives and field functionaries of revenue department to assess the land compensation issues of the locals. He further asked the officers to address the issues of the people pending at their level in a speedy manner.
Among others present during the meeting are Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani Bhagat; DDC members, BDC Chairpersons, ADDC Doda, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat, besides other officers of various line departments.
