While elaborating the schemes, he said that under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) schemes 25 to 35% subsidy is provided to the beneficiaries, whereas, an assistance up to Rs 25 lakh and Rs 10 lakh is provided under manufacturing and service sectors, respectively.
The Secretary KVIB further said that these schemes are also envisioned to contain migration of the people from rural to urban areas in search of job opportunities. He informed that both the schemes are online and people can avail their benefits from their home without visiting offices.
