Kathua: DDMA approves 7034 relief cases, sanctions ₹3.27 Cr under SDRF

Kathua  : District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kathua Friday approved 7034 crop damage cases and sanctioned Rs 3,27,43,872 as relief for the affected farmers here at its meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Puneet Sharma which.
DTO, Tehsildar Kathua, Tehsildar of concerned tehsils were also present in the meeting.
The relief cases of crop loss damages due to the October rain storm of Tehsil Billawar, Basohli, Hiranagar, Marheen, Ramkote and Mahanpur were approved by the meeting after the scrutiny of the documents.
The meeting found 7034 relief cases complete in all respects as per the laid down procedure of SDRF and an amount of Rs 3,27,43,872 was sanctioned as relief to the farmers who have lost their crops.
With this, the total number of relief cases of Crop Loss approved by the DDMA Kathua touches to 16325 with relief of Rs 5,63,45,496 disbursed to the affected persons through DBT mode.
