Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal on Thursday distributed face masks among the general public throughout the district. Besides, while acting tough against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines, 1706 violators were fined across the district.
The drive was initiated on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar. During the drive, Police distributed face masks among the general public throughout the district.
Police have realized fine to the tune of ₹2,52,840/- from 1706 violators in district Ganderbal for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19 within one week.
People were informed about the necessity of Covid-19 guidelines/instructions and were given sensitized about maintaining proper hygiene, social distancing and wearing of face masks. Besides, they were also advised to follow Covid-19 SOPs regularly to avoid serge in Covid cases.
