DSEJ organises mega PTM

Jammu : Directorate of School Education Jammu Friday organized a mega Parent Teacher Meet{PTM) covering all the government schools across ten districts of Jammu division.
The event was coordinated by the counselling cell of DSEJ through District counselling coordinators, DNO, ZCCs, and other officials.
The key points highlighted and discussed with the parents during the meet besides the academic achievements of the students were ‘Pre and post matric scholarship schemes for students belonging to Schedule Castes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped Category’ and other such categories along with promotion of recently launched ‘TAKE IT EASY’ initiative by the Directorate of School Education Jammu.
‘TAKE IT EASY’ is an initiative launched by the Directorate to address the mental health and well being of adolescents.

Along with this, the Directorate’s ‘AAO BAAT KAREIN’ helpline number 6006800068 was also publicized amongst the students and parents so that they can avail maximum benefit out of the services being provided.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu appreciated the efforts of the teaching community and opined that for the overall development of the students, involvement of the parents in the teaching-learning process is essential.
Monthly PTM has emerged as one of the best practices of the Directorate of School Education, Jammu which connects parents and teachers for discussions on overall development of students.
