DC B’gam reviews progress on ‘Be-Rozgaar Se Swarozgaar’ initiative in distt

Says “Hand Holding by line deptts critical to uplift socio-economic status of unemployed youth”

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Thursday convened a meeting to review the recently launched initiative, ‘Be-Rozgaar Se Swarozgaar’ programme in the district at Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, here.
At the outset, Assistant Director Employment, Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat informed the meeting that 2300 applications with different preferential areas of work have been received by the office. He said that applications received shall be forwarded to concerned line departments for further necessary action.
It was given out in the meeting that under ‘Be-Rozgaar Se Swarozgaar’ initiative, 5 Youth per Panchayat Halqa shall be identified and provided self employment through various schemes being implemented by various line departments across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that emphasis is on making youth ‘Self employed’ from being ‘Unemployed’. He said that Job oriented awareness shall be provided to youth for proper understanding of the nature of activity which they want to pursue in future.
The DC instructed all concerned line departments to reach out to applicants, inform, guide and apprise them about the schemes being implemented by various line departments for their socio-economic upliftment.
The line departments shall converge and coordinate with each other for yielding maximum socio-economic benefits for unemployed youth, the DC added.
Mirza exhorted upon all concerned line departments to take this initiative on mission mode by ensuring weekly review of progress achieved.
Commenting upon the importance of training of unemployed youth, the DC instructed concerned Training institute RSETI to provide minimum 6 days training under Entrepreneurship Development Program to the youth identified and selected under ‘Be-Rozgaar Se Swarozgaar’ programme.
The meeting among others was attended by ADC Budgam, GM DIC, CPO, CAO, CEO, CAHO, A.D Employment and other concerned officers and officials.
