Awareness, Training prog on Food Safety Training & Certification held at G’bal

Ganderbal: One-day awareness cum training programme on Food Safety Training and Certification was held Thursday at Ganderbal.
The training programme organized by Food & Drugs Administration for Ganderbal under the provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 was presided over by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, Ganderbal, Shagofa Jalal.
Food Business operators dealing with Bakery, Manufacturing, Restaurants, Packaged Drinking water participated in the said Training Programme.
Detailed presentation was made by the Trainer regarding good manufacturing and hygiene practices to be followed during the manufacturing and food processing.
Food Safety Officers of the district also participated in the training.
All the participants appreciated the role of the department with regard to implementation of Food Safety laws and requested that such a training programme should be conducted in future also.
