Srinagar Admin organizes Awareness cum Counselling Prog for youth under “Be-Rozgar Se Swarozgar”

SRINAGAR, : – The District Administration Srinagar on Tuesday organised a daylong Awareness cum Counselling Programme for unemployed youth of the district under Be-Rozgar Se Swa-Rozgar here at Block Development Office Lasjan of the District.
The programme was held on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in wake of follow-up and implementation of directions of the Lieutenant Governor issued during a Video conference held on November 15.
During the Programme Resource persons from Employment, KVIB, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Departments sensitized and counselled the Youth of different Panchayats regarding different Government sponsored incentivised Self-Employment schemes like MUMKIN, TEJASWINI, Fish Farming, Dairy Farming and other scheme of Khadi & Village Industries.
On the occasion, the Officers of different Departments highlighted the objectives of various Government schemes including MUMKIN, TEJASWINI, Fish and Dairy Farming.
Speaking regarding the programme, the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar urged the unemployed youth of the district to come forward and avail the benefits from these schemes to become self-employed, Self-reliant and job providers rather job seekers. He said basic purpose of these programmes is to guide and motivate the aspiring youth to opt for dignified source of livelihood by establishing income generating units with handholding support of Government under MUMKIN, TEJASWINI, PMEGP, JKREGP, IDDS and IPDP schemes
Besides, PRI members of various Panchayat Halqas, the programme was attended by Director Employment, Mohammad Rouf Rehman, Career Counselling Officer, DE&CC, Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmad Rather, Employment Officer DE&CC, Ishfaq Ahmad, VAS, Animal Husbandry Department(Sub Unit Lasjan), Dr Rayees Ahmad, Field Officer KVIB, Mohammad Shafi, Deputy Inspector Fisheries, Musadiq Hussain and Officials of RDD Block and other concerned.
