DC Ang reviews execution of developmental works for H&ED

Anantnag : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla Tuesday reviewed the progress of execution of developmental works being implemented through Prime Minister’s Development Package, State CAPEX, District CAPEX, Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Languishing Projects for health and education department, here.
Dr Singla reviewed the work wise progress for various projects under execution. The progress on the new building for GMC Anantnag was reviewed and implementing agency was directed to complete the work on priority.
The DC directed the implementing agencies to speed up the ongoing projects and ensure completion as per projected timelines. The progress of work on Nursing College at Janglat Mandi was also reviewed. The DC also directed CMO Anantnag to form an inspection team and submit an assessment report of the projects under execution.
In addition, progress on NTPHC Larkipora, Hiller Larpora, SDH Bijbehara among others was discussed.
In the education sector, the progress of work on the auditorium at Boys Higher Secondary Bijbehara was reviewed.
Taking strong note of slow progress of developmental works being executed by JK Housing Board, the DC issued orders for withholding the salary of one employee. He said that all implementing agencies should ensure that any unnecessary delays in execution are sorted out at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by Principal GMC, SE R&B, Joint Director Planning, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of various implementing agencies including JKPCC, JKPHC, Housing Board among others.
