Srinagar: Srinagar city has figured among top 50 cleanest cities of India under the Swachh Survekshan 2021 rankings, officials said here on Sunday.
Officials told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Srinagar city has also bagged 12th rank in Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge, while it has figured among top 50 cleanest cities of the country under Swachh Survekshan 2021 Awards.
Notably, Srinagar had ranked at 241 and 281 in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Meanwhile, taking to micro-blogging site Twitter city mayor, Junaid Azim Mattu said that it was a proud moment Srinagar.
“Srinagar yet again ranked as one of the 50 cleanest cities in the country under the Swachh Survekshan 2021 Awards! We also bagged 12th rank in Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge!! Pertinent to mention – Srinagar was ranked 241 in 2017 & 281 in 2018. ANOTHER proud day for #Srinagar,” he Tweeted. (KNS)
