Anantnag: Youm-e-Mehmood was Saturday celebrated under the banner “Sufi Virasat” at Mehmood abad area of Dooru, Anantnag.
The programme was organised by Kashmir Society International, Mehmood Gami Working Committee, Jamaat ul Aitqaad International in collaboration with R &B department and Department of Art Culture and Languages.
On the occasion, the speakers highlighted the poetic, writing skills, prose, and developmental contribution of the sufi saint, Mehmood Gami towards Kashmiri language and literature.
A colorful sufi programme was presented by different well known singers Farooq Ganie, Hafiz M. Ashraf, Gh. Mohidin Shah at the event etc.
The programme was attended by SDM Doru, President MC Dooru, Tehsildar Dooru, Chairman Mehmood Gami Working Committee, members of committee, Secretary Kashmir Society International, besides large number of people and poets.
