SMC Jt Comrs’ kickstart spl drive against illegal constructions in city parts

Srinagar : The three special Task Force teams headed by 3 Joint Commissioners on Thursday kickstarted special drive against unauthorized illegal construction.

A special drive against the unauthorized and illegal constructions in the city was undertaken by Task Force teams headed by three Joint Commissioners of the Corporation.The three Task Force teams comprising of six members in each team visted various areas of the city in their respective zones in order to completely check and curb any sort of illegal and unauthorized construction in the city.The team first visited several areas including QamaraAbad Qamarwari, Bemina, Batamaloo where as team second conducted site inspection in Lal Bazaar, Umarheir, Soura. Ahmad Nagar , 90 feet Road.The third team visited Lal Chowk, Maisuma, Zaina Kadal, Karan Nagar till Thursday.
The teams on the occassion checked and verified the complaints received regarding illegal/ unauthorized construction and accordingly compiled the report for initiation of neccesary action in each case. On finding deviations in sanctioned building permissions and the illegal structures at initial level several demolitions were conducted.

The Enforcement Team swung into action and conducted demolitions in various areas including ward 11 Lal Bazar, Ahmad Nagar 90 feet Road, Ward 15 Umer Hair at Aiwa Kadal ,Saida pora Ward 19, Qamarabad Qamarwari Ward 25 and Bemina W 24.

Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan has strictly passed on directions to the Task Force teams that the photographic and video evidence before and after the demolition/ removal covering all sides of the illegal construction shall be annexed with report of each and every such construction removal/ demolition undertaken in accordance with law.Meanwhile one structure was also sealed at MA Road Lal Chowk for violation of norms under rules.
