Police facilitates Police-public interaction meet in B’pora

Srinagar : Police facilitated an interactive meeting with general public of village Arin and other adjoining areas in Bandipora.
The meeting was chaired by SSP Bandipora Mohammad Zahid, besides ASP Bandipora, DySP Hqrs Bandipora, SHO PS Bandipora and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. The interactive meet was attended by PRIs, respectable citizens, general public of Arin, Kudara, Shokbaba, Sumlar and other adjoining areas.
During the interacting meeting, participants highlighted several issues of public importance being faced by the community members. The chairing officer redressed several issues on spot and assured the participants that their other genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Bandipora said that police is acting strictly against anti-national and anti-social elements especially drug peddlers and miscreants to provide secure and peaceful atmosphere in the district. He appealed general public and civil society members to come forward in identifying such elements so that strict action under law will be initiated against them.
The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
