MVD Ramban books 120 vehicles for traffic violations

Ramban: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban Wednesday booked 120 vehicles for different traffic violations during an inspection drive here on Ramban- Banihal stretch of Jammu- Srinagar National Highway.
Enforcement teams of MVD, under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Shafkat Majid checked hundreds of vehicles and booked 120 violators for over speeding, overloading and other violations.
The ARTO said that all the booked violators will be punished by imposing heavy fines on them under the extent rules of the Motor Vehicle Department. He said that the District Administration has already directed all the enforcement agencies to keep close vigil on over speeding and overloading to minimize road accidents on NH-44.
He said the checking of vehicles has been intensified on National Highway in view of frequent road accidents in the last few days due to over speeding, overloading and negligent driving.
