ACB produces chargesheet against former Patwari of Halqa Kulbugh, Khansahib

Srinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Wednesday produced chargesheet against former Patwari, Halqa Kulbugh, Khansahib, Budgam in a trap case.
According to an official statement issued on Wednesday the ACB produced chargesheet against Irshad Ahmad Dar, the then Patwari Halqa Kulbugh, Khansahib Budgam in a case under FIR number 19/2020 PS ACB Srinagar in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar.
“The instant case was registered in PS ACB Srinagar on the basis of a written complaint. The complainant had alleged that the Patwari Halqa Kulbugh Khan sahib Budgam namely Irshad Ahmad Dar was demanding Rs 5000 as bribe for issuance of Revenue Extract of his proprietary land at Kulbugh Khansahib Budgam. The complainant approached the ACB for taking legal action against Irshad Ahmad Dar, the then Patwari Halqa Kulbudg Khansahib,” it said.
After registration of case under FIR number 19/2020 PS ACB Srinagar, the trap team was constituted by ACB. The trap team laid a successful trap in which accused Patwari was caught red while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs. 5000/- from the complainant, it added.
“The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused. After obtaining the government sanction for launching prosecution, the chargesheet of the case was produced before the court of Special Anti-Corruption Judge Srinagar for Judicial determination,” ACB said, adding that the next date of hearing is fixed on 27-01-2022
