1500 Works taken up under MGNREGA prog by RDD Shopian

Shopian : Under the overall supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Development (ACD) Shopian, Hilal Ahmed Jeri, a total of 1500 works have been taken up under MGNREGA during the current financial year and Job Cards also stand issued among the beneficiaries for employment generation.
Besides, many activities like Yogyata se Rozgar Mahotsav, Janta Ki Scheme, Janta Ki Bhagidari, Berozgar Say Sawai Rozgar are being carried out throughout the district in which people of concerned areas participated in formulation of the plans and execution of these works.
The District Administration, Shopian has geared up all the executing agencies and emphasized for reaching out to the people especially downtrodden common masses to visit at their door steps to facilitate and aware them about the Centrally Sponsored and other schemes so that they are able to avail benefits under various schemes meant for their well-being.
It was informed that issuance of Sehat Cards and Vaccination process of age group of 18 years above is in full swing in the district and the Chief Medical Officer, Shopian; Arshid Hussain Tak is personally monitoring the process. All the health functionaries are working with dedication, zest and zeal and also the door to door survey is going on so that no one is left out.
The doctors, Aashas, paramedical staff and other concerned are working round the clock leaving no stone unturned to achieve the required target within a stipulated time frame. The department of health aims at facilitating the people of far-flung areas at their door steps who have no sources of transportation and other communication.
Also the PHCs, NTPHCs, Primary Health Centres have been geared up at their respective places to enable the people to get first aid healthcare facilities at an earliest.
