New Delhi: Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway on Tuesday the 16th November held a meeting with Ministers/Members of Parliament of constituencies that come under the jurisdiction of Moradabad Divisions in Moradabad. This was the second meeting of GM / NR with the Ministers/Members of Parliament. A meeting was on Monday held in Lucknow Division. This is in accordance with the directives given by Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav, advising General Managers of Zonal Railways to increase public outreach to get feedback for providing better service to the nation. Railway related issues in each constituency falling under Northern Railway were discussed with the public representatives to find solutions for the benefit of the passengers.
The GM welcomed the Members of Parliament and briefed them about the various developmental activities and new initiatives taken up by Northern Railway within the jurisdiction of Moradabad division. Ajay Nandan, Divisional Railway Manager, Moradabad Division presented a report regarding the completed, ongoing & planned works relating to passenger amenities, infrastructure and services at stations and trains over Moradabad division. Senior Officers of Northern Railway and Moradabad division also participated in the meeting.
On the occasion, Dr. S. T. Hasan, M.P. Loksabha (Moradabad), Dr. Sangh Mitra Mourya, M.P. Loksabha (Badaun), Dr. Shafiquar Rehman Barq , M.P. Loksabha (Sambhal), Shri Girish Chandra, M.P. LokSabha(Nagina), Dr. Ashok Bajpai, and Smt. Kanta Kardam, M.P. Rajya Sabha expressed their views in the meeting. MPs appreciated the good work done by Northern Railway in their constituencies. They also put forward various demands, requirements and aspirations of the rail users of their respective areas. They exhorted NR to complete the infrastructure and public convenience related projects on top priority. They also volunteered to help wherever there was any co-ordination required with the state administration for timely completion of the projects.
Ashutosh Gangal, assured the Parliament Members that Northern Railway would resolve the public grievances and issues put forward by them as early as possible. He further said that Northern Railway would always remain committed to the service of the passengers and rail users.
