Agriculture Deptt Kupwara organizes Apiculture awareness camp

Kupwara: The Agriculture Department Kupwara Tuesday organized a daylong Awareness camp at Town Hall, here about Expansion of Apiculture sector.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din was chief guest on the occasion.
ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; Chief Agriculture Officer, Nazir Ahmad, Experts of Agriculture department, besides, farmers in large numbers attended the awareness camp.
Addressing the function, the DC said that the Apiculture sector has a good potential for employment generation in the district. He impressed upon the farmers and youth to exploit the sector properly and take benefit of different Government schemes focusing the apiculture development.
He also provided awareness to the farmers about the Land Records Information System “Aap ki Zameen Aap ki Nigrani” and said that the platform enables the farmer for all time access to his land record. He said the farmers can get access to their land record online and can also visit the nearest Tehsil or Block office for accessing the land information website.
On the occasion, speakers including ADC Kupwara, Chief Agriculture Officer and experts also spoke. The experts provided detailed awareness to the farmers about the growth and development of the Apiculture sector.
