Rajouri: Department of FCS&CA Rajouri has completed hundred per cent (100%)Aadhar seeding of the Ration cards of all the NFSA and Non-NFSA beneficiaries of the district.
With this, Rajouri along with Samba has become the first district in J&K to achieve this feat.
Aadhar Seeding is important as it helps to clean out duplications and fakes and provides accurate data to enable the implementation of direct benefit programmes. The use of Aadhaar reduces the cost of identifying persons and provides increased transparency to the government in the implementation of its schemes.
Earlier, Aadhar Seeding of the ration cards in the district was low which was creating a lot of inconvenience in prompt service delivery to the public as it was difficult for the department to identify the duplications and fakes.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, the team of the FCS&CA under the guidance of the District Development Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan and tireless efforts of AD FCS&CA, Arif Lone stepped in to cover all the beneficiaries under the Aadhar seeding process.
The field functionaries of the FCS&CA Department took the job on a mission mode and worked hard to achieve the desired outcomes.
They also made the public aware of the benefits of aadhar seeding and motivated them to get their ration cards seeded with Aadhar.
With the positive response from the public and dedicated efforts, the department managed to ensure complete saturation of the district under Aadhaar Seeding within a stipulated time.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan has also lauded the efforts of the Department for achieving the feat and advised the officer and officials to keep working with the same zeal to provide smooth and hassle-free services to the general public.
