Srinagar : Syed Iqbal Bukhari the Chairman of FIL Industries left for heavenly abode last Sunday but left indelible foot prints on the entrepreneurial and Industrial landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. A man who kicked a promising Government job and undertook a mission of translating his dreams of entrepreneurial development and Industrial expansion into a charming reality will be remembered for his unmatched contribution for decades together. Even in the present day of industrial revolution his unmatched contributions in the field of entrepreneurship and industrial could be the sources of inspirations for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir who plan to build careers in business and industry.
Bukhari by the dint of his actions and remarkable achievements has left behind a legacy of leadership in entrepreneurship and industrial development . Never forget that he was the brain behind reviving the struggling horticulture industry in Kashmir by establishing FIL industries. Bukhari has left a mark so deeply rooted in the soils of the business industry that even the richest men fall short in comparison to him. The story of this unstoppable tycoon began in the north Kashmir Baramulla district. He was the brightest student during his college days and was quick at his studies. He was a hard worker and passionate about work he had choosen for him. Bukhari left the Government job as a promising officer of J&K Revenue Department, after developing huge interest in business and left the government job to execute mission on his own vision. Bukhari named his own company as ‘Kohinoor group of enterprise and later its name was changed to “FIL Industries Pvt Limited” established in 1998, which went on attaining popularity with every passing day. The FIL Company is a diversified business organization with interests in Agro-Chemicals, Agro-Infrastructure. The Company has one of the Asias’s largest fruit juice concentrate units, manufacturing fruit juice concentrates, packaged juices, and drinking water from Jammu and Kashmir. The company is one of the leaders in the agriculture sector in north India, which provides a complete solution covering the full supply chain in the agriculture industry.
From pre-harvest to post-harvest management systems fruit juice beverages business vertical is one of the fastest-growing and is a market leader in innovative and functional drinks. Under FIL Industries he had set up one of the prestigious Concentrated Juice plants in Kashmir. He was full of ideas on innovations that industry in Kashmir could adopt for survival. He was bright, promising, and hardworking always supporting the Youth on the business front.
Directors of Kohinoor International Private Limited are Syed Tariq, Syed Junaid Altaf, Owais Altaf Syed, Syed Mohmed Iqbal. Bukhari was the well-known face of Kashmir and was a prominent businessman. He took up with FIL industries to a global level with its own manufacturing units for the formulation of products sourced from the best available resources worldwide. He ensured the timely availability of its high-quality products to even the farthest-reaching consumer. Alliances with renowned global giants in the business gave FIL Industries a technological edge over it’s competitors, ensuring that it’s products provide the maximum level of crop protection to provide a higher yield for the farmer.
What matters the most is the fact late Syed Mohammad Iqbal Bukhari was also a philanthropist and popular in all sections of the society as a down-to-earth, pious, and humble personality. He was popular in all sections of society as a down-to-earth, pious, and humble personality. Bukhari created his empire out of passion, not greed. With his pockets becoming full, he began his philanthropic endeavors with the pure intention of helping the needy. Apart from his belief in corporate social responsibility, he was also a firm believer that people must help the needy at an individual level. However, his influence and philanthropy continue to prevail, making Bukhari a rare mixture of being humble and rich, setting an example of a great human being. He was advocating that people should be concerned about the well-being of those who are unable to secure for themselves and their families such things as adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care, basic education, and employment. In his entire life, he stood up for humanity and lived for his own people. He was a great human being. Syed Iqbal Bukhari will be remembered for his great contribution and he was a role model for the young entrepreneurs of Kashmir. He was a torchbearer for hundreds of unemployed youth in the Valley and hope for homeless families. While FIL Group remained constant quest to transform towards excellence in all our engagements and endeavor, it started once as a family business in J&K has now evolved into a multi-sector and multi-product industry.
The Kashmir Horizon family expresses deepest heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. We pray to Almighty to shower his choicest blessings on the departed noble soul and give courage to the bereaved ones to bear this irreplaceable loss. He was not feeling well for the several days before leaving for heavenly abode at SKIMS Soura last Sunday. His funeral prayers were held in Ladoora in the Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla Sunday, in which thousands participated. The Nimaz-e-Jinaza was led by Haji Ameer Ahmad Khan.
