Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it has busted a fake SIM card racket and also arrested three persons involved in the commission of crime, claiming therein further that incriminating materials including mobile phones, sim cards, electronic gadgets and documents were recovered from the possession of the accused.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that acting on specific information, Police in Baramulla busted a fake SIM card racket involved in issuing SIM cards against managed forged documents. Stating that three persons identified as Owais Farooq Waza son of Farooq Ahmad Waza resident of Mohalla Jamia Baramulla, Suhail Aziz Mir son of Ab Aziz resident of Suhail Colony Baramulla and Javid Ahmad Kanjwal son of Ab Ahad resident of Jalal Sahib Baramulla have been found involved in the commission of crime, police said the above named accused have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
Police in it’s statement also said “incriminating materials including mobile phones along with SIM cards, electronic gadgets and documents have been recovered from the possession of the above named accused”, adding that “ a case under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation is going on”.
