Pulwama: The Director, Land Records Modernization Programme (LRMP) Mohammad Hafiz Monday visited Pulwama and convened a series of awareness programme of revenue officers to bring transparency and efficiency in the Land Records Information System (LRIS).
On the occasion, the officers urged people to avail the benefit of “Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigrani” Land Records Information System recently launched by the Lieutenant Governor.
They said users can search and view copies of scanned data of their land records online on CIS Portalhttp: //landrecords.jk.gov.in/.
The major components of the programme include computerization and digitization of land records, Survey/resurvey and updation of all survey and settlement records, Integration of property registration with land records and cadastral maps for enhancing authenticity and security of data, bringing utmost transparency in the system, Capacity building, and development of Land Records Information System.
In his address, the Director impressed upon concerned officers to initiate a vigorous IEC campaign throughout the district so that every person in the district could get knowledge of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme.
He said the sole aim of this programme is to make revenue records accurate and transparent besides accessible and this is a unique initiative of Goverment under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and the district has achieved an important milestone to provide the most transparent and accountable services to the common masses.
Hafiz said that the initiative is aimed to facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records, besides improving the efficiency of Revenue Offices substantially.
He further said the purpose of the programme is to modernize management of land records, further improve transparency in the land records maintenance system, thus reducing scope of land/property disputes, and facilitate conclusive titles to immovable properties.
