“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life ” (Mohammad Ali)
Human life in the world is as much dependent on women as it is on men, while naturally women are handling the most important affairs of creation such as birth and training of children. There are many such talented and enthusiastic women in the Kashmir Valley in sports. Somewhere they face a lack of basic amenities and their work is not appreciated in government and public circles. Speaking of Kashmir, the girls here have represented Kashmir on national and international platforms in the field of sports. Be it football coach Nadiya Night, Baramulla cricketer Iqra Rasool, Rugby player Irtiqa Ayoub, or a two time world kickboxing champion Tajamul Islam who recently won gold medal on October 22 last month in Egypt. Man and woman are human and as human beings, both individually are great masterpieces of nature in terms of their creation and attributes. Although Adam was given superiority over all creatures and women have an equal share in the exaltation given to Adam as a human being. Just as time is setting the stage for development and mankind is reaching the stage of development, in the same modern age, women are shining side by side with men and prove everywhere their abilities and virtues. Every sector, be it political or social, economic or operational, women in each sector are on the path of development.
“Every women’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on ” (Serena Williams)
Some hidden talents in every human being develop over time, and the only ones who reach the milestones of success are those who worked very hard An excellent example of this is a 13 years old Qawnain rafiq hailing from Natipora Srinagar district Qawnain is associated with martial arts. The little champ won 7 gold medals, 2 bronze, 2 silver and in belt grading she already qualified for blue belt and achieved yellow belt in sqay Martial arts too. while doing conversation with Qawnain , she said that she was interested in athletes since her childhood and used to take part in every competition. It’s not just about teaching girls how to fight, either good martial arts training will teach them to learn to assess situations so that they can remove themselves from them, prevent potential attacks, and fight back if necessary, which are all vital components of a good self defense energy. In order to pursue her inborn athlete dream, she joined the training camp in her school where she learnt several things including self defense after which she participated in 5th GM DAR memorial sqay national championship 2018 held at Pahalgam in June 2018 and won silver medal. “In my first national championship, I managed to get a bronze medal, however, later in Rajasthan nationals, I got gold medal”, she said. Qawnain rafiq said that her family has been supportive from day one And they are very happy that she is now a yellow belt. Desire to become a professional player in martial art, qawnain Rafiq also has an interest in painting, photography and wants to clear UPSC exams.
“Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength ” (G. D Anderson)
