Anantnag: The District Administration Anantnag Saturday organised training, information and demonstration programme on Land Records Information System (LRIS) under Digital India Land Records Modernization programme on the theme ‘Aap ki Zameen, Aap ki Nigrani’, at Khanabal, here.
The Assistant Commissioner, Revenue (ACR), Syed Yasir informed the participants about the usage and benefits of the system allowing people to visualize, download and print the revenue documents of their land.
A live demonstration on how to use the system through their mobile systems was also given.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Dr Piyush Singla said that this novel step in revenue administration will bring tremendous changes at ground level by saving the time of land owners and revenue officials and will bring transparency in land records facilitating omission of erroneous entries in revenue documents.
The DDC laid emphasis on the revenue officials, PRI members for dissemination of information with regard to this system at the village level and at the individual level. He further added that 27 lac revenue documents are uploaded on the portal and this system will benefit the people in general and land owners, farmers in particular.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Tehsildars, PRI members and Revenue Officials.
