One more militant killed in Kulgam gunfight, militant death toll in the encounter rises to 2 : Police

Kulgam/Nov 12: One more Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorist killed killed in an ongoing encounter with the security forces in the Chawalgam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district and as such the militant death toll in the encounter has risen to two ,Police said. The operation is still underway and further details are awaited, police said.
The slain militants have been identified as District commander of HM Shiraz Molvi and Yawar Bhat.
“Shiraz was active since 2016 and was involved in recruiting innocent youth into militant ranks & several civilian killings. A big success for us,” said Kashmir Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
In it’s tweet Kashmir Zone police said that one more unidentified militant has been killed and the militant death toll in the encounter has mounted to two and also said tht incriminating materials including arms and ammunition has been recovered during the searches continuing even now. Further details are awaited from the police.
