DC Kupwara reviews progress under Distt CAPEX Budget, Also reviews power supply scenario

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Thursday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of developmental works approved under District CAPEX Budget 2021-22.
During the meeting, detailed block wise review of the pace of various approved works in the district were taken.
It was informed in the meeting that 989 works under PRI Grants, 299 under DDC Grants and 58 Regular works have been approved under District CAPEX Budget 2021-22, out of which 1144 works have got administrative approval. These works pertain to various departments including RDD, PDD, Health, Education and YS&S.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to strictly adhere to the timelines of the works and ensure completion of all works taken up within the stipulated timeframe. He said that the officers deviating from the timelines of execution of works shall be liable for action.
To ensure quality standard works, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to conduct regular physical inspection of the works.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of power scenario in the district and directed the concerned engineers to prevent unscheduled power cuts so that people do not face any inconvenience.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned engineers to speed up anti power theft drives to ensure that power supply is provided strictly as per schedule to the people.
ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan; ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; JD Planning, Abdul Majeed; ACD, CEO and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
