MD KPDCL convenes review meeting of Circle Pulwama

Pulwama: The Managing Director (MD) KPDCL, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, convened a review meeting of circle Pulwama. During the meeting, the MD took sub-division wise detailed review on issues of Revenue realisation, Reduction in AT&C loss, status of all works under various schemes like B2V/ District Capex/ UT Capex/ Winter Preparedness, Progress of ongoing works, DT Buffer reclamation, Inspection details (month wise), Line corridor clearance/ patrolling/ beach pruning, Handover/ Takeover of completed projects.
While emphasizing on quality and reliable power supply to consumers, the MD impressed upon all the Engineers to work towards better, reliable and quality power supply to consumers.
Discussing the revenue realization progress, the MD highlighted the issue of high AT&C losses and Divisional and Sub-Divisional heads were directed to improve their performance and monitor losses feeder-wise. It was given out that Feeder managers and other staff shall be held accountable on set parameters including reduction in AT&C losses and a deadline was also set for it.
Chief Engineer (Distribution) highlighted the less revenue recovery from the commercial category consumers from most of the Sub Divisions and asked the concerned officers to make every possible effort for recovery of the revenue.
On the issue of power theft and illegal connections MD KPDCL was informed that regular inspections and action taken reports are sought.
The MD expressed satisfaction in terms of inspections and corrective measures. Sub-Divisions with poor performance were given time bound targets to improve their performance.
SE circle Pulwama informed that advance planning and activities have already been started for winter preparedness. Reclaimable DT buffer is being readied by all divisional workshops.
The MD also reviewed project works of District Pulwama and Shopian.
Officers of distribution and projects wing were directed to complete all technical requirements for early handover/takeover of completed projects. It was impressed upon concerned to complete ongoing works in time bound manner and address issues of RoW in coordination with District Administration.
Er Ajaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Engineer (Distribution); Er Lateef Ahmad Shah, Superintending Engineer O&M Circle Pulwama; Er Gh Rasool Khanday, Superintending Engineer Projects; all Executive Engineers of O&M and Project Circle Pulwama, all Assistant Ex Engineers of O&M and Project Circle Pulwama were present in the meeting.
