Alcoholism not only a social evil but a big health risk for the people consuming  alcohol endlessly. The critical health issues develop among the people falling prey to alcoholic addiction and while some ailments are curable, many are also incurable. Health specialists advise people to shun alcoholism in view of the critical health ailments that develop only due to growing tendency of alcoholic consumption brewing up among youth. It is for the elders in general and parents in particulars to reduce the intensity of alcoholic consumption growing among youth. Parents not addicted to alcoholism don’t see any tendency of alcoholism brewing up among their children and the people who keep an eye on the activities of their children both within and outside their homes and themselves also don’t resort to alcoholism don’t see tendency of alcoholism developing among their children. The concern is not whether Government prohibits alcoholism or not but the concern is whether parents are conscious about the ill effects of alcoholism or not as finally elderly people particularly the parents of children have to fight every social evil. Controlling alcoholism among their children is not a difficult task for parents who control their activities in accessing both commercial and non commercial digital platforms.  Amid growing public concerns the people of lower middle sections of the society are more addicted to alcoholism than the people of affluent class due to lack of health awareness about the causes and consequences of alcoholism among the people of lower middle class. Though police and health departments in Jammu & Kashmir have established drug de-addiction centres for people addicted to alcoholism but  the real concern is the lack of health awareness on rising alcoholism in Jammu & Kashmir like many states and union territories of the country. Due to lack of health awareness on alcoholism people don’t even know that alcoholism is both a social evil and as well as a bigger cause for some critical health ailments which even lead to death in most of the cases.

Health specialists can strongly convince alcoholics that excessive drinking is the cause of some incurable critical health ailment in the old age and moreover it is also is a hated social evil both within and outside Jammu & Kashmir . Don’t forget that civil society groups even without any engagement and involvement of one or many government departments can carry out a health awareness campaign on growing tendency of alcoholism among youth.

In the given situation a focus on public outreach by both the government and as well as the civil society could generate health awareness on growing alcoholism among the people in general and youth in particular. Health specialists can strongly convince alcoholics that excessive drinking is the cause of some incurable critical health ailment in the old age and moreover it is also is a hated social evil both within and outside Jammu & Kashmir .
