Dist. Admin Kup organizes Block Diwas prog at Kandi-Nutnussa Wadipora, Lalpora, Hajitara

Kupwara: To ensure good governance and to address public issues at their door steps, the District Administration Kupwara Wednesday organized 04 Block Diwas cum grievance redressal camps at Kandi-Nutnussa, Wadipora-Handwara, Lalpora-Lolab and Hajitara Tangdar.
The main function was held at Kandi- Nutnussa which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din.
Speaking at the occasion, the DC said that the aim of this interaction programme is to remove the deficiencies and streamline the way for smooth development of all sections of people of the district. He sought close coordination of PRIs with the administration for proper planning and development of their respective areas.
The DC directed the officers to perform their duties with utmost honesty and dedication to facilitate the people in getting amenities from the Government.
He also raised awareness among the people about the ‘Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani’ online digital platform which provides easy access to the land owners to get their land record. He directed the officers to provide the awareness about the platform among field functionaries who will further spread it among the people.
The DC also inspected the newly constructed school building and handball court of Higher Secondary School Kandi.
On the occasion, DDC Member, various PRIs and officers also spoke.
The DDC member, Nutnussa, Zahoor Ahmad; local PRIs put forward various developmental issues of the area relating to power supply, maintenance of roads, release of MGNREGA payment etc.
DDC member, CMO Kupwara, CAHO, DPO, DSHO, BDO Nutnussa, Tehsildar and officers of the administration, besides, large number of people participated in the Block Diwas.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a separate Block Diwas programme at Nutnussa. ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan and AC Panchayats were also present at the occasion.
On the way, the Deputy Commissioner visited NTPHC Nutnussa and inspected functioning of the hospital.
At Handwara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Mir chaired the Block Diwas programme at Wadipora. BDC chairperson, PRIs, officers and people in large number attended the Block Diwas programme.
At Lalpora, the Block Divas was chaired by SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat.
The Block Diwas programme was also held at border and far flung area Hajitara in Karnah sub division where SDM Karnah, Gulzar Ahmad presided over the programme.
In all the four block diwas programmes, the public representatives and general public projected their demands pertaining to different departments including Power, Health, R&B, Forest, Agriculture, horticulture and allied sectors and different engineering departments, besides, Social Welfare.
The concerned officers heard them patiently and assured that their genuine demands will be fulfilled on priority basis.
