Army Organises Volleyball Tournament in Marwah

Kishtwar: To reaffirm its commitment towards fostering peace and to provide an impetus to the sporting talents in the region, Indian Army has organised a Volleyball Tournament at Village Navapachchi of District Kishtwar. The sports event inaugurated on Nov 7 will continue till Nov 17, 2021. The aim of this event is to facilitate the youth by providing them a platform in the remotest of areas and help them ascertain themselves and identify the sports talent for further nurture.
A total of 20 teams of Marwah area are participating in the tournament.
Marwah Volleyball league started with inaugural friendly match between Police and Army. The competitive spirit displayed by the players was indeed phenomenal. The zeal and vigour of the local sports talent is praiseworthy.
The Army officials applauded the participants for showing gritty determination of highest standards and also encouraged them to practice and excel in all such events in future.
The audience at the tournament hugely appreciated the efforts of the Army for conducting such an event which brings to fore the sense & feeling of bonhomie & trust between the local populase and Army.
