Srinagar: The Final Match of Super Division Annual league Football Tournament 2021 was on Tuesday played at 2:30Pm at Synthetic Turf TRC between Galaxy FC and Jehlum FC.
The Galaxy FC players were more aggressive in their approach and they made some early moves to beat the defence lines of the Jehlum FC. However, the goalkeeper and other defenders of Jehlum FC were equal to the task and they kept the Galaxy FC forwards at bay. In the 25th Minute of the game Furqan of Galaxy Fc managed to score the first goal of the match putting his team ahead. The first half ended 1:0 in favour of Galaxy FC. In the second half the situation was no different, Galaxy FC players were not only determined to maintain the lead, but occasionally they counter-attacked and in 65th minute of the play, they were successful in their attempt as Shazan scored the second goal. It dampened the spirits of Jehlum players and for the rest of the play no further goals were scored. When the referee blew the final whistle, the score line read 2-0 in favour of the Galaxy FC . Thus Galaxy Fc defeated Jehlum Fc by 2 goals to Nil.
Joint Secretary J&K Sports Council Bashir Ahmad Bhut (KAS) was the Chief Guest on the Occasion and distributed prizes and mementoes to the players and Officials. The Officials of DFA Srinagar & JKFA were present on the occasion. The Tournament was organized by DFA Srinagar in collaboration with JKSC.
