Srinagar: Militants shot dead a police Cop in Batmaloo area of Srinagar on Sunday evening, official sources said.
They said, militants shot and critically injured a Jammu and Kashmir Police Constable identified as Tauseef Ahmad in D colony Batamaloo area of Srinagar this evening.
They said Tauseef was rushed to the nearby SMHS hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Senior police and security officials have rushed to Batmaloo and started combing operations, the sources said and added further details are awaited.
