Doda:The District Administration Doda Wednesday held weekly Block Diwas proceedings across the designated places of the district to redress the public grievances and provide varied services.
The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Sharma, besides the DDC also presided over public grievances redressal program here at Tehsil office.
The teams of Different departments along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances.
As many as 94 grievances/applications were received during the day long program and all were redressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot, besides several services which included 24 category certificates, 64 Domicile certificates, and 65 different revenue papers were also provided to the people on spot.
At Tehsil office, the DDC handed over the individual benefit certificates , which included domicile, category and other revenue papers on the spot to beneficiaries. He asked all the departments to ensure their presence at each designated location with good knowledge of their ongoing schemes.
Moreover, the DDC asked the social welfare department to display details of the individual benefit and other schemes at the prominent places of the district for wide publicity. He further directed the Tehsildar to ensure that every department participates in the Block Diwas and report about those who fail to comply.
