Weekly Block Diwas: DC Poonch listens to public issues at Mendhar

Poonch: District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet Wednesday listened to public issues at the weekly Block Diwas program held at Block Mendhar.
DDC Vice Chairperson, Er. Ashfaq Ahmed; DDC Member, Mia Farooq; DDC Member, Er. Wajid Bashir; Senior Superintendent of Police,Dr.Vinod Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan; CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer; Chief Horticulture Officer, Satvir Singh; CMO, Dr.G.A Malik; District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed; Executive Engineers of different departments, besides district & sectoral officers and prominent citizens were also present.
The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues, demands and developmental needs in their respective areas.
During the programme, PRI members sought augmentation of water and power supply, Medicare facility and various specific issues including, completion of B.G to Balnoi road, 2KM road from Dharana to Malikpur, Ari to Dolichirr road, Basooni to Deridabsi road, Harni to B.G road, Nakka Majairi to Nar road, Jugal to Kullian road, Completion of all ongoing PHE schemes, installation of Electric transformer which was projected during Back to Village programme for Mendhar town, Construction of Bunkers in border belts, Completion of Mini secretariat, improvement of drain system, electric polls for panchayat Nar and various other issues in day to day life raised in detail.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all panchayats is ensured in the district and people do not have to face any problems.
The officers/officials of all line departments present on the ocassion registered the demands and grievances of the locals with an aim to ensure redressal of grievances in minimum possible time.
