DC listens to people at Kulgam, issues of immediate nature redressed on-spot

Kulgam:To ensure good governance and for prompt public issues redressal, the District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas cum grievance redressal camp at D.H.Pora, Devsar and Kulgam blocks.
During the grievance redressal programme, officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the people at all the three venues for their timely redressal.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievance redressal camp at Kulgam, where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
People from Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Pombay, Kulgam, Pahloo, Redwani, Matibugh, Nunmai, Desan, Tengjan, Yaripora, Katrasoo, Hawoora, Batpora, Madahole, Kader and other villages apprised the Deputy Commissioner of various issues for redressal.
The PRI members also participated in the grievance redressal camp and highlighted various issues and grievances of their areas.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the delegations, he redressed various issues on the spot. With regard to other demands, he assured that the same will be taken up with concerned higher authorities.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of the programme is to mitigate the problems and grievances of the public at their doorsteps.
He also apprised the people that crop damage relief disbursement among the affected agrarians/orchardists will be initiated within a few days.
The Deputy Commissioner while responding to demand for a playfield which was raised by a delegation of youth said that district administration is committed to develop playfields in every panchayat of district.
He added that out of 178 panchayats, playfields have been developed in 140 panchayats and the process to cover the rest is under process.
ASP, ACR, ACD, Executive Engineers, Tehsildar, BDO and other officers were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Block Diwas functions were held at Devsar and D.H.Pora blocks where ADDC Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather listened to the issues of people for redressal.
