Kulgam:The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat Tuesday convened a meeting of DLIC members and reviewed the progress of registrations of unorganized sector workers on the e-SHRAM portal.
At the outset, threadbare discussions were held and Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kulgam, Dr.Adnan Tariq gave a detailed presentation about the use of the e-SHRAM Portal. He apprised the chair that till date 9752 unorganized workers have been registered in the district since the launch of the e-SHRAM portal by central government.
The District Development Chairperson, Mohd Afzal Parrey who also attended the meeting stressed on all DLIC members to work in coordination and synergy to mobilize these workers for registration and to achieve cent percent target so that the benefits can be percolated to these workers.
While addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that e-SHRAM Portal would be an recognized database of unrecognized workers and will significantly help in proper and smooth implementation of various social security schemes and instructed the concerned to ensure cent percent registrations of these workers within a given timeframe.
He was also instructed to include the PRIs in mobilization of these workers for registering and achieving the set target.
He stressed to organize registration camps and sensitization programmes and to scale up the registration process at all levels.
The meeting was attended by BDC chairpersons, besides ADDC, ADC, CEO, BDOs, DSWO, Labour Officers, District Coordinator CSC Kulgam, president of Labour union and other concerned.
