Srinagar: Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr Athar Amir Khan Monday conducted several back to back meetings with all Senior Officers to review status of various functions including works wing and snow clearance preparedness.
The Commissioner reviewed the arrangements made for snow clearance. He passed on directions that a mock drill is to be conducted for snow clearance tomorrow. Commissioner SMC was informed that deployment of men and machinery/ equipments are in a state of readiness. He also reviewed the deployment of staff for manual snow clearance and dewatering pumps for water logged areas on a standby to tackle any situation arising out of the snowfall, including dewatering was also reviewed. In yet another meeting that was held with S.E Drainage , Executive Engineers and AEEs to review the status report of road works, Mr Athar passed on directions to immediately go for restoration and repairs of roads under approved allocations and also reviewed other approved works Program 2021_2022. He also took a detailed meeting on ABC – AR Dog sterilization Program to know its current status and further progress on work The review meeting was attended by all concerned officers of the SMC.
