Riten Kumar Singh NHIDCL, RO-Jammu to Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Raghav Langer. These Ambulances will serve as force multipliers in providing routine and emergency medical support under highly demanding situations” an official handout of the Corporation stated.
It stated that the Corporation is committed to comprehensive community service like Health Camps, environment cleaning cum upkeep, Swachhata Bharat Abhiyan, Health support system, etc.
Giving further details, the Corporation handout stated that four medical Ambulances were released by HQ NHIDCL, New Delhi and these were handed over to Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma on July 10, 2021 during peak covid season. “During the Covid-19 pandemic, NHIDCL has played an important mitigating role by providing medical aid to all the States and UTs, where its presence exists. Subsequently, during the visit of MD NHIDCL to Jammu Province, a request was made by Deputy Commissioners (of District in Jammu Region where there is presence of NHIDCL) for release of Medical Ambulances exclusively for their Districts. Accordingly, another four Ambulances have been released by HQ NHIDCL for the Jammu Province (i.e. Districts of Jammu, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar) so that they can be put into use by the concerned Deputy Commissioner” the handout reads.
It further stated that the humble support of NHIDCL to Jammu Region shall continue with more and more intensity, commitment, and dedication in the times to come.
