Srinagar: A teacher, who was appointed under the Prime Minister’s package, has been suspended for allegedly producing a fake qualification certificate. The Directorate in an order has said that the teacher has deceived the department and has withdrawn a huge salary fraudulently.
In an order issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir, the department has said that a fake marks certificate was produced by a teacher appointed under PM’s Package, who was posted at GHS PanthaChowk under the District Cadre Srinagar.
According to the order the teacher was provisionally appointed in district Cadre Srinagar under PM’s Package and the appointee was subsequently posted in High School PanthaChowk by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar on August-02 2018, giving the joining date as July-12 2018.
“After verifying the testimonials and the documents of the appointee from the issuing authority, the CEO recommended the case for issuance of formal appointment order and the provisional appointment order of the teacher among others was confirmed by DSEK in 2019 with the condition that the order shall be implemented after fulfillment of all terms and conditions as laid down in the provisional appointment order,” reads the order.
It also reads that the CEO Srinagar reported that the marks certificate of BA Part-III of the appointee was re-verified from the University of Jammu by the Drawing and Disbursing Officer and was found ‘Fake’ and the teacher was placed under suspension and attached with this Directorate of School Education Kashmir with immediate effect and subsequently.
“The enquiry officer has furnished its report on August-16 2021 and has established that the said teacher has managed his selection through JKSSB by production of Fake B.A Part-III marks certificate through Jammu University,” it reads.
DSEK also said that during the enquiry, it has been further stated that the teacher has deceived the department and drawn a huge salary from the Government exchequer with immediate effect July-07 2018 to January-01 2020 fraudulently.
“Now therefore, on the basis-of enquiry report furnished by the Joint Director of Samagra Shiksha DSEK, sanction is hereby accorded to the withdrawal of confirmation to the provisional appointment order in favour of appointee issued by DSEK in 2019,” DSEK said
