Srinagar: In connection with the Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2021, being held from 26th of October to 1st of November, 2021 the District Administration Srinagar Wednesday organised pledge taking ceremonies at all Government Offices.
The Pledge taking ceremonies were held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad. The week-long observance, based on the theme “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity” started at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex here amidst presence of senior Officers and Officials.
The focus areas of the celebrations is to bring greater awareness of complaints under Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers and conducting Special Clearance Campaign for clearing all outstanding vigilance matters.
On the occasion, the Officials pledge that they shall promote ethical practices in the offices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity, besides shall not accept or offer any kind of bribe. It was also pledged that they shall ensure good governance based on transparency, accountability and fairness. Besides shall adhere to relevant laws, rules and compliance mechanisms in the conduct of the business.
During the oath, the officials also pledge that they shall adopt a code of ethics for all fellow employees and provide grievance redressal and whistle blower mechanism for reporting grievances and fraudulent activities and protect the rights and interests of stakeholders and the society at large.
