J&K Senior Men’s team reaches Vadodra to participate in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Jammu: J&K Senior men’s team has reached Vadodra to participate in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Brigadier Anil Gupta, Member- Administration, JKCA, said that the Senior Men’s team of J&K led by Shubam Pundeer has reached Vadodra to participate in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy being conducted by BCCI in two parts beginning 4th November, 2021 The team will remain in quarantine Bio Bubble till 3rd November, 2021 Thereafter part one of the tournament which will be conducted on league basis will be played till 9th November, 2021 First and second team from each pool in the league stage will qualify for knock out stage to be conducted in Delhi from 10 th November, 2021 to 22nd November, 2021
In order to give adequate match practice to the team, the management of JKCA had sent the team to Delhi from 21st October, 2021 to 26th October, 2021 during which the team played two practice matches with the teams of Delhi and Punjab. Both the matches ended in Super Over while in the first Super Over J&K team defeated Delhi. It lost in the second Super Over match to Punjab. This exposure has given valuable match experience to the team and the management hopes that the team will certainly qualify for knockout stage, stated Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development who personally over saw the team’s practice and performance at Delhi. He also bid the team fare well from Delhi to Vadodra. “Ours is a very balanced and talented team. We are prepared to face any challenge and we will give tough time to every team who play with us. The team has got a
boost with the news of arrival of Umran Malik, speed sensation, from Dubai who is to join the team directly at Vadodra,” stated Sanjeev Sharma, Head Coach of the team.
