Jammu: Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two criminals along with sharp edged weapons and averted a major tragedy in R S Pura area of Jammu district district.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said “ Jammu Police in RS Pura have caught two along with sharp edged weapons”, stating therein that “after a specific input of some criminals roaming in the Satriyan area in RS Pura for some criminal intentions was generated by SHO RS Pura Insp Jai Pal Sharma a special patrolling party headed by PSI Amit Singh was set in motion”.
Stating that on seeing Patrolling party the duo tried to fled away but after a hot chase both the accussed were apprehended and during questioning they disclosed their identity as Abhi Sharma@ Kannu S/O Surjeet Sharma resident of Satriyan RS Pura and Sunny Sharma S/O Raman Sharam resident of W No 2 RS Pura, police in it’s statement further said “during personnel search, two sharp edged weapon I.e tokas (one from each accused) recovered.
Police in it’s statement also said “ a Case FIR No 204/21 U/S 4/25 A Act stands registered at PS RS Pura”, adding therein that “with their arrest police have averted a major tragedy and whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan”. Police in the concluding para of it’s statement said that further investigation of the case is going on.
